Born and raised in London. Just a normal guy with a moral compass.
What iPhone do you have? My theory is that iOS 26 is designed to make everyone buy new hardware.
Firefox are about to roll out their Material You redesign and haven’t even started on Material 3 Expressive yet, while Google are rolling out their latest and greatest for iPhones already. I wish Mozilla had more people working on Firefox for Android.
Concurrent ads is one usage, yes. But from when people started reacting on YouTube, I always thought there should be a more seamless way. When I started seeing takedown notices for people reacting to music videos, I thought why can’t they just overlay/embed it. It seemed like a no-brainer to me. Now that technology is finally here.
As for the technology being co-opted by ads, on my TV I don’t have ReVanced and so am stuck with ads, if I can have silent ads play at the side rather than delay what I’m trying to watch at the beginning of a video, I’d go for the side ads.
So…
Great. Here’s something no one asked for
Except me!
The developer also posted here IIRC, so that’s a W.
This is pretty fucking stupid. If OEMs are struggling with monthly releases, punish them, not general users. Android has made massive strides to make releases by OEMS quick and simple.
I knew of all the a versions having issues, but not the flagships
Thought all of them did
Both should have it according to https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/368006132/google-pixel-update-september-2025?hl=en
I’m also loving the new animations. They make everything feel snappier and smoother.
Ships with the new terminal, so I’d assume so
That’s been there for a minute.
I’m now running it and it’s beautiful!
Nothing. I expect a lawsuit at some point that complains that nothing useful is being shared.
On what metric? It exists and?
Ah, no wonder I didn’t know about it. I kinda use my Fitbit in a silo. The thought of people I know watching me makes me anxious.
I like data too and generally after a workout I screenshot Fitbit and send that screenshot to Gemini for analysis and insight, so I’m quite excited to see what they come up with. I hope they’re really pushing the envelope.
What are the challenges?
Honestly, this is a lazy AF comment. Yes Gadgetbridge exists, but what’s its relevance here? Does it implement Material 3 Expressive better than Fitbit? Does it have more functionality than Fitbit? Does it present the data as well as Fitbit? Does it implement AI features as well as Fitbit? Why are you mentioning a random AF app that doesn’t even support the number one device used by Fitbit users? Up the effort please!
It would essentially just be me linking you to a bunch of bugs. Here’s some screenshots, it’s easier. There’s no Monet in there though. I suspect that won’t happen until Material 3 Expressive.
