Nah man, Microsoft doesn’t give their OS away for free. The ads are just greed on top of an already expensive product.

If they stopped showing so many ads, maybe they’d leave enough memory to run an operating system.
Some code is boilerplate and can’t be distilled down more. It’s nice to point an AI to a database schema and say “write the Django models, admin, forms, and api for this schema, using these authentication permissions”. Yeah I’ll have to verify it’s done right, but that gets a lot of the boring typing out of the way.
Blockchain is primarily touted as a replacement for currency.
That’s the thing, AI is an exceptional propaganda machine. Blockchain isn’t really exceptional at anything - it’s just a reinvention of the wheel.
Right, quality is not something that is easy to figure out algorithmically. But adding arbitrary rules like “content length” or “time on page” directly ruins quality by incentivizing content manipulation.
When search engine optimization becomes a target, content suffers. If Google changed their algorithm to only rank websites with high quality content instead of keyword-stuffed content, we’d see a great improvement in the quality of the internet.
Hatsune Miku sweating bullets all of a sudden.
Real talk though, there’s a whole genre of non-slop vocaloid music that these policies might affect, if I’m reading the rules strictly.
Don’t hold your breath, it’s by the same devs as Kerbal Space Program 2.
AGPL, nice
Remember folks, XcQ, link stays blue
Nuclear winter because I can wear the bones of my enemies
Congress can’t really pass laws, because the system inherently favors obstructionism.
I think it’s dangerous honestly. Because something missing the AI tag will be considered more authoritative even if it’s mislabeled.
If the tags were 100% accurate I’d agree that it would be a good thing, but that’s mathematically impossible.
I love projects like this. Do one thing, super well, without adding a kajillion dependencies. I love the vanilla HTML / CSS approach.
And the key word “big” here is far bigger than most engineers need to deal with. Hell, most supposed “big data” problems I’ve seen people try to tackle are small enough to fit the whole database into memory.
It’s evolving, just towards authoritarianism.
I have a big pride flag just inside my front door to keep the Christians away.
The world sorely needs this. Very nice work.
