here’s a challenge: diodon plugins in github

we have macbooks, windows laptops and even ubuntus. they give us any hardware we want, even 50" ultrawides 😅

it’s a very good feature. if you have too much work and need a longer break, just restart a few times. i may need to change my work laptop from macbook to a windows
if you have a gigabyte motherboard, samsung monitor will have booted seven times and you still have time to make coffee
nope, literally haven’t touched anything
kde connect works for you? none of my devices finds each other anymore, but they used to. thought they screwed something up in an update
the worst issues I’ve had with Ubuntu or Ubuntu based distros were little hickups like not being able to suspend and rebooting fixed it. but what you’re describing was my experience with fedora every single time i tried it… which is a shame because fedora works so much smoother with heavier tasks
I saw people recommending keychrons, went and bought one thinking I made a smart choice. didn’t even google what kind of issues they have… I’ll remember next time I’m about to throw money at some random crap that a few people recommend.
tried a few distros before mint because i thought it was less cool or whatever, but then it was the only one i could get working. every few months i try something else and come crying back…

linux phones please hurry!
tried garuda as my first distro, i couldn’t even get installation to finish, then the one without nvidia included worked but all sound devices were completely missing

I’ve been itching to install ultramarine but earlier I’ve had bad times with fedora on my hw. also because i host jellyfin at my home network, i kinda need x11 because i have a little program that keeps my system awake when network traffic crosses a certain threshold, using xdotool. and no, that’s not the cause for the wakelock issue. i know ydotool but no time to get into it in the near future

it hasn’t happened on other distros but i have other bigger issues on them so i never could test for a longer period. took me a year to find what caused it and it hasn’t happened since i switched from mullvad. fun bonus: ovpn destroyed my nvidia drivers on mint…

recently switched from mullvad to ivpn, and the servers are noticeably slower. with mullvad all the servers I used achieved my connections max speed 500 mb/s but on ivpn they usually do 50 - 300, and sometimes i need to switch server because they go down (i use european servers). only reason i switched was because mullvad causes a wakelock on mint cinnamon and it drives me nuts.

i would’ve been fine with 8.1, you could tweak out all the annoying stuff and then it just looked like 7 but worked better, no resource manager crashes or whatever it (explorer.exe) was called. and it didn’t fight me like 10 did
can we have a .deb too pliz

or run one by yourself?
everyday shit. which reminds me, i have to schedule that ear cleanup appointment… hmm maybe tomorrow
