Do you have actual evidence for Kurzgesagt being among PE-owned channels, or are you just extrapolating? Because the video you linked doesn’t mention them, and a quick search didn’t turn up anything about that.

if you are entitled to using a paid version for free (e. g. students, educators) you cannot opt-out of sharing your code.
That is incorrect. According to the page you linked elsewhere:
For individuals on non-commercial licenses: Data sharing is enabled by default, but you can turn it off anytime in the settings.
(Emphasis mine)
And for all other cases it’s opt-in. No idea how you got from that that you cannot opt-out. It literally says the opposite.

Not in Germany. The amount of vacation is based on the amount of days you work, not the hours. The goal is that everyone should be able to take at least a total of 4 weeks off per year. That means you get 20 days of vacation if you work a regular 5 day week. If you work a 6 day week, you get 24, but that is pretty unusual.
So, if you work fewer hours, that only matters for your vacation if those hours are also done across fewer days. If you only work 10 hours a week, but spread them across all five days, you still need 5 days to take an entire week off, so you still get the 20 days.
But anyway most employers will give you closer to 30 anyway, so the legal minimum usually only matters when it comes to things like transferring to the next year or paying out untaken vacation, because the rules differ there between mandatory and additional vacation days
“only” 20 of those by law, though. Most employers will give you more than that, but it’s not guaranteed
Maybe it’s just a bad joke
You might have to sign out and then in again. There was a bug with the initial release that caused this kind of behavior
Wellllll in most driving games you accelerate and brake with the triggers though, and the left stick does nothing on the vertical axis :P
Okay for real though, I’m not here to tell anyone how to game. Use whatever feels right for you, and having the option to invert stick axes is a great inclusivity feature I’d never argue against! I just have a little too much fun arguing with people trying to rationalize something that really just doesn’t need to be rationalized to be valid.
If you see the stick as the top of your character’s head, you’d have to twist it to look left or right. Tilting it would just rotate the image you see under that mental model
if you lean forward you look down - why would controls be any different?
By that logic, tilting the stick to the left should either make you look to the right, or just rotate the view without actually changing the direction you’re looking in
YYYYMMDDHHmm is probably one of the most normal date-time formats
No, it absolutely isn’t outside the tech sphere
there is a direct correlation between the size of the campaign and the number of monitors at the bottom.
From my limited experience, it’s the size/amount of monitors at the top that correlates with company size, not at the bottom. At my 5-person software company, almost everyone works with multiple screens, except one of the three founders who still works mainly on a laptop display at least
How do you have your shortcuts set up for this? And if you don’t mind me asking, what desktop environment / window manager are you using?
I think the idea is to pressure the partners of Collective Shout, per the url in the comment. Those might not necessarily agree with what they’re doing in this case, and if they see it’s making waves, reconsider their partnership.
Go for it! Doesn’t even need that much investment as long as you’re familiar with self-hosting. Just install it and see how it goes with new photos, and you can still backfill your old photos later. There is a tool that even lets you migrate your entire Google photos account, including albums, favorites etc super easily from Google takeout
It’s not giving you proactive notifications for it, but yes, that’s the one. It’s just available on top of your timeline just like in Google photos.
It fetches them as needed, much like Google photos. Every photo in the timeline has a little icon on it telling you whether it’s on your device or only on the server. You can have Immich installed on several devices and see photos from all of them on any of them no problem
The only slowness I’ve experienced so far is that the android app can get a bit sluggish when scrolling around in the middle of my timeline, or inside bigger albums. Everything else totally smooth though
Bringing this general issue up in a thread about Kurzgesagt, without also providing evidence that Kurzgesagt specifically is actually part of that issue, is at best irrelevant and at worst misleading though
