I had one of the 10" eeePC machines for years. That thing was a tank. It did everything I needed it to, especially weird networking configurations. The battery also lasted over 6 hours. I mostly ran Crunchbang #! Linux on it.
I don’t think I could live on a 10" screen anymore, but back in the day it was a dream machine.
The hotel itself was nice, and the balcony had a great view. The problem was the mattress. It was so soft that it provided zero back support. No other options were available.
The net result was both my wife and I ended up with month long back muscle spasms. It taught us a lot about how to resolve back issues, but it’s not a lesson I wanted from a relatively expensive hotel in Leavenworth, Washington.
It’s also California: the weather is usually really good. Maybe this “Becker” should add an amendment that requires bike roads to be built instead of parking spots.
I assume he’s against being proactive in problem solving, though.
Chicago’s flag is a masterwork.
My city did a redesign about five years ago. Our flag was in a D to F tier flag ranking. After the redesign it’s much better, but still feels like a logo more then a flag. At least they got rid of the written slogan, though!
Props to Chicago. Put that flag on everything.

Yeah, the US has reached an incredibly low standard of literacy for what is supposed to be a developed nation. The numbers on reading level are scary. Also look at how much people read as adults. We just don’t learn how and then we don’t practice during our lives. It’s a nation of partial literacy being kept together my hyper nationalism and smart phones to distract us with 6 second videos.

It’s not a conservative’s problem until it effects them personally. By then it’s usually too late, but at least they feel bad about that one issue for a while.
I build a bridge out of our pillows. Two bor the base, then one spanning a small gap. I put my Earthward arm’s hand up the the gap and my head on the bridge pillow.

Don’t worry, that was plenty of information for most of us. I spent all too many hours on an i286 machine, but I recall nothing else about the system.
I did the same thing with the Linux machine there, but we got it up and running with a sweet potato using a patch set for the kernel and cross compiling it from the basic potato release. We did find the drivers for the VGA card we salvaged from a scrap pile too! Got it up to the full 640x480 supported by the card.
You could say it was a sweet setup.
I hear that. It’s been over a decade (or so) since I’ve played and I still remember a few of the games very specifically. The rest are a blur with a general feeling of annoyance left over.
Since I never spent the hours of learning how to min/max my build against every conceivable combination of enemies and teammates, I never could do well at the higher levels. The net result was mediocrity in my style and huge waves of anger from the random people I was teamed with.
To be able to compete you have to invest huge efforts into learning the builds and styles to match. I just didn’t care enough, but with the XP system always climbing (by sheer games played), I was pinched out just because the system has room room for casual play.
The spikes of reward from the mid level games were quickly dwarfed by the constance negative experiences as I was forced to level up.

It’s the best RTS game I’ve every played for my level of care about units and willingness to invest myself in tech trees (which is very little). I hate min/maxing stats so let’s get some units and brawl instead of tuning upgrades just right, or being forced to place buildings instead of paying attention to the overall strategic situation.
Show me an ad in my own kitchen and that screen is going to be broken.
I moved to Germany. It’s been an experience because the tech status dialed back about 15 years. One area I don’t miss is the ever pervasive drive to have screens with ads on every surface.
