The stones themselves weren’t evil. They were controlled by evil and corrupted by its presence.
I have several stores I frequently visit here, from 300 to 1500 meters away. If I need something from further away I just jump into the car or on my bike. It’s not the distance that keeps me from it, I walk about 10 kilometers a day with my dogs and friends. I just don’t want to walk an hour to get groceries, that’s boring as hell.
And it’s WAY older than people think. The first patent for a fax like machine was granted in 1843.
I wrote tests today and found an error in my code. What is that? Development driven test driven development?
I’d be OK with the option to switch easily. Or maybe dual boot.
Not only would they just continue living as before, they wouldn’t even realize something had changed.
I guess you win this game.
I migrated an Ant project to Gradle last week, and oh boy, was that painful. I used AI to do a lot of the boilerplate, but then I had to polish out all the errors it made. And it made a lot. But still, writing all those build files would have been horrible without AI.
Especially for draft dodgers, imagine one of those would ask for a military parade for his birthday.
I had the S3 and it was barely usable after some years. Threw… What was lineage before the switch? Cyanogen? … on it and it ran like never before. Samsung software is dogshit.
I just want to do my work, then live my life. Those two things have nothing in common, and I want to keep them separated. If my colleagues want to meet, I ain’t gonna complain. But please accept that I’m grumpy and socially awkward and I love my dogs way more than my colleagues.
I used to utilize Arduinos, but since I tried an ESP32 I never looked back. Those fit my needs much better and come with all the connections I want. Especially in combination with home assistant.
I tried this yesterday, but I was drunk.
Yeah, I get that. But I’m traversing my machine a lot while developing, so I want that as hassle free as possible.
Had it in my .zshrc. I should look for it, it was helpful
I’ve used a script that made ‘up 4’ a thing. Forgot to migrate it though.

I thought you wrote confluence and wanted to grab my pitchfork.
Are you trying to say I’m not a newbie with over 20 years of experience?
I’m relatively new in my company and I’ve been hired to structurize and modernize the development. Project #1 I’m on, I’ve introduced bleeding edge things like pipelines with building, testing, etc., I’ve introduced renovate bot to keep us up to date, and I’ll introduce linting next.
They will probably kill me, but no way I’ll let them have > 2000 lines of code in one file.
