Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell
Especially if you’re into anything Aqua Teen Hunger Force related, the whole series has the same vibe with Dave Willis / Dana Snyder being involved. And Dana Snyder gets some on screen time in this one, it’s great!

Not something I use but did notice that https://www.pandora.com/ still has a free ad-supported tier.

Are you referring to a different Connect app? The one on Google Play had an update a few months ago, does not seem abandoned.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kuroneko.lemmy_connect
I don’t actively use the app, just curious.

Maybe? Does seem a bit much. I already walk about 40 mins to get to work and that’s at the higher end of what most people would walk.
But I would maybe do it if there were other things near that library that I need to go to. Have multiple destinations in mind for a longer walk like that.
EDIT: The library by me is about a 5 minute walk for what it’s worth. Same for groceries & other stuff.

If the business is or was promoting and marketing their business on xitter then it could make sense for them to try the same on a Mastodon instance account.
I’m not sure if it’s really “worth” it for a small business to maintain a presence on Mastodon but I guess it’s an option… remember that small businesses have limited payroll and headcount, it might not make sense to spend time marketing somewhere that has a smaller audience.

The eggs are healthy, not sure what style eggs you’re used to but if you just want a different variation on that try something like scrambled eggs with kale/spinach + salad on whole wheat bread or tortilla or similar. I’d also toss in some tomato and red onion. Now that I’m thinking about it avocado would probably go well with that combo too.
A lot of people like hard boiled eggs for lunch, it’s not really my thing but you could do those and slice them up into a salad, wouldn’t take too long once you do it every day.

Superjail, and probably Mr Pickles too.
At least with Superjail the animation was so off the wall that it was worth a watch if that’s your thing. Mr Pickles was just so devoid of anything and the animation was terrible, I stopped watching it a few episodes in.

Not sure if that applies to smaller venues, or Ticketmaster’s other brands (TicketWeb). There are shows at a small venue I go to that are usually sold with Dice tickets, yet there is this one promoter whose own shows at the venue are always sold on TicketWeb. These are all small indie type shows, small venue… my hunch is that the promoter is just too lazy to switch to anything else.

It’s tough since you’re basically stuck with having to use whatever the promoter / venue is using for ticketing. I do hate it when shows are using Ticketmaster / TicketWeb, like why is that even necessary when other options exist?
In the NYC area I’ve seen shows use other ticketing systems like Dice, See Tickets, Eventbrite, KYD, etc. so other stuff does exist beyond the Ticketmaster monopoly. Personally I think Dice might be the best one, it’s nice to have the ability to let the venue resell your ticket via waitlist if you can’t go to the show for some reason - I think it only works for sold out events but still seems useful. Or the reverse, you can put yourself on a waitlist for a sold out show and maybe score a ticket if someone else decides they can’t go.

I think it was a bottle of Miller draft, dad let me have a sip when I was 15 or so. It tasted so gross I stayed away from beer and alcohol until well into my 20’s, I just couldn’t understand why people drank that stuff.
Eventually realized not all beer tastes the same haha.

Agreed with the other comment, the context does matter.
I’ve been featured in one my coworker’s dreams apparently. Not in a weird way, she’s told me and the dream was very funny. More like an inside/office type joke that must have snuck into her dream state LOL.

Yup just started seeding the 64-bit PC DVD .iso since I figured I’d need it sooner or later, the .torrent links are listed there in the Debian download page https://www.debian.org/distrib/
And of course plenty of other Linux distros have their own torrent links.

In the northeastern U.S. I’ve mostly learned to acknowledge them, don’t give anything, and move on with my life.
Not sure if it’s bad luck or what, but nearly every time I’ve tried to be nice and offer them something it always backfires. I’ll be passing by with some food and they’ll ask me for some, I give them some and then they tell me it wasn’t enough and to give them all the food I was carrying. Like WTF?
Another time I actually had some change on me so I gave him some and he said it wasn’t enough money and started following me, wanted me to go to an ATM so I can take out more money for him. I was forced to tell him to stop following me or I’d have to call the cops.
I have even more stories like that… going through those motions repeatedly it feels like the homeless have taught me not to give to the homeless. But hopefully your experiences have better outcomes.

In my early 30’s still felt like I was in my late 20’s so never really gave it much thought. Maybe around 33-35 I actually started getting into a more 30’s mindset.
Anyway, don’t overthink it :)

In the U.S. with insurance you would have easily hit the deductible and out-of-pocket costs though that does mean you would have been billed a few thousand dollars easily (on top of the regular monthly insurance costs). Everyone has slightly different health insurance plans so the actual amount would be hard to predict for a hypothetical question.
One thing you got me thinking, I’m not too sure how often U.S. insurers would actually cover someone to literally stay 4 months in a hospital, maybe in rare extreme cases? Insurance companies typically only approve x amount of days/weeks in hospitals or rehabilitation facilities so once you use up those approved days the hospital has to figure out how to get you out or start billing you directly at a few thousand per day.

On a weekday would take 24-48 hours, work would probably start making calls if I just randomly stopped showing up. It would be odd enough if I didn’t show up for one day without calling/emailing anyone, 2 days would become concerning.
Might take longer over a weekend, depends whether I have any family trying to text or call me.

Only browse old.reddit when searching around for info I might not run into otherwise but haven’t needed to log in there in the last 1-2 years or so. Beyond that usage it’s just Lemmy for the normal browsing/posting/commenting.

Wish I had more free time but unfortunately my work/life balance is pretty bad at the moment.
But every once in a while the urge will hit and I’ll end up playing something obsessively for a few weeks or so while suffering through a lack of sleep during that time.

Yeah with Propagandhi it’s always a toss-up whether they’ll make it into the U.S., they were set to play Fest this year too until they canceled. Kind of wonder if they’ll even bother trying to tour the U.S. for the next 4 years at least, ugh.
PS - Streetlight is playing Asbury Park later this month if you want to add another show to your count :P (you probably already know about that one)
Did way more Halloween stuff in my 20’s-30’s, slowed down a bit in my 40’s but still go out to events in October.
I was a Chilean miner in 2010, that one was fun since the mining accident in Chile was all over the news at the time and people immediately recognized the hardhat and whatnot.
Another year I had dressed up as a sort of sleepwalker complete with bathrobe, slippers, etc. But it turned out that was way too vague and everyone called me Hugh Hefner that night.
But most years I was a bit lazier and just turned myself into a zombie with makeup, fake blood, ripped clothes, that sort of thing.
