Yes, while I have the MBA running macOS, I have my trusty X260 with Linux for everything I don’t need macOS for. I absolutely love both the size and thickness of it - the keyboard is good, the nub is good, it’s a comfortable, rugged laptop with a dual battery setup.

I wish decently powerful small laptops would make a return. I dearly love my 11" MacBook Air and I’m still astounded I can even somewhat use it today for various research and office work, but it could seriously do with an M1 chip and 16GB of memory.

I maintain that the parents should perhaps have been more perceptive and involved with this kid’s life, and ensuring this kid felt safe to come to them in times of need. The article mentions that the kid was already seeing a therapist, so I think it’s safe to say there were some signs.
However, holy absolute shit, the model fucked up bad here and it’s practically mirroring a predator here, isolating this kid further from getting help. There absolutely needs to be hard coded safeguards in place to prevent this kind of ideation even beginning. I would consider it negligent that any safeguards they had failed outright in this scenario.

I completely agree - not detracting from your points at all, but I hate that not only can you not put your own system onto an iPhone but you can’t even downgrade. Hell you can’t even put your own apps on it without dumb restrictions.
I still had an iPad 3 that would have made an excellent smart whiteboard/todo device velcroed to the wall, but iOS 9 doesn’t cut it (in fact, nearly bricks the iPad in performance). I could easily write up something that would run as a full screen to do app on Linux and that hardware would do it, but Apple doesn’t let you.
Gave that hunk of shit away and still am keeping an eye out for an Android tablet I can set this up with.

You keep repeating this argument of “show me where I can possibly pay for it” presumably because you know that it is not for sale and this is common knowledge.
What is being omitted here is that because anyone has the ability to put a PC of their own components together, Microsoft has two roads for these people: give Windows away where Microsoft sees none of that money back, or sell you a license to use Windows - they choose the second option. This is why you can buy a license for Windows. If you could only use prebuilt machines and were unable to make your own PC, the license cost would be passed onto the manufacturer and thus amortised in the final sale price, and you would also not have the ability to purchase a Windows license directly
Apple doesn’t need to do these extra steps because they are both the software vendor and manufacturer, thus the development costs associated in macOS is also amortised in the final sale price.

There’s some discussions on XDA and Reddit I found where someone wanted it on an S10/S10e and the responses were that the Exynos chip does not have any FM radio functionality at all.
I looked up your Exynos 850 chipset and Samsung’s datasheet says it does have an FM radio, as you yourself surmised by it being in the stock ROM.
There is this app (seemingly without anything prebuilt) for a different Exynos chip, but given it hasn’t been updated in 3 years and the chip difference, I wouldn’t have high hopes.
Otherwise you might have more luck asking the LineageOS maintainer why FM radio functionality is missing and if they could add it.
I think in the case of the Minecraft movie, Jack Black is a symptom of a bigger issue with the movie; it was always a cash grab
I get how you feel, but personally I don’t really have that for all of tech. I’d say if apps could be in a state just before enshittification comes in, that would be my date per app.
But I think even in modern day, open source is bigger and more powerful than ever, Linux is actually viable for some non techies (Steam Deck), and I’m genuinely happy to be in the present in that respect. If you manage to avoid using all the proprietary crapware these days, it’s never been a better time to embrace open source software.
Of course, environmentally and politically things are absolutely horrid, but I think that’s a topic out of your question’s scope.
Another random chiming in, been a Linux user for 10 years, and a couple years ago, I gave Fedora a good go for a month and couldn’t get it either.
I’m sure if I committed more time to it I would have understood it, but I needed a working computer and not one I was fighting with half the time, so I cut it there.
