Yes, my grandparents had a potbelly stove that they used for heat. A coal tripple was about a quarter of a mile from our house and we could walk down the railroad tracks and collect a bucket full.

Water is best but unsweetened tea has a nicer flavor and the only thing I can find that makes it worse than water from a health standpoint is the caffeine.
The most popular country music star contemporary to Jerry Lee Lewis was a guitar player. Guy by the name of Hank Williams.
If you wanted to extend a Red River Gorge trip there’s some interesting Civil War era stuff in Winchester and Lexington. Fort Boonesborough was rebuilt as a Civil War fort and they do history presentations and era accurate crafting demonstrations. They have a working blacksmith, a soap maker, that kind of thing. The Henry Clay Estate is interesting and the Cassius Clay Estate (the abolitionist, General, and Diplomat not the boxer) is great. There’s also the Kentucky Horse Park and Keeneland. You will also be passing through the Bourbon Trail if you’re driving down from Indiana and by Big Bone Lick if you’re coming down 65.
As another person from the US, I don’t find it funny at all. A bit disheartening actually.
Every grocery store, cafeteria, and gas station I go to has them. I chose a link to a manufacturer’s page so there won’t be a sales link. A quick search will show every major grocery or convenience store chain has there own store brand prepackaged boiled eggs.

This isn’t necessarily what the commenter was talking about but wage theft is estimated to be at about $50bil per year which is more than all other forms of property crime combined and it is rarely punished even when reported.

I’m in western Appalachia. There were no human settlements here but I might run into a group of hunters. I feel like I’m pretty decent in nature. I’ve been hunting, hiking, and camping in this area my whole life. With no modern equipment I give myself about a week. Most likely cause of death: Snakebite or eaten by wolves.
European colonization of America wouldn’t have started yet so a majority of Americans wouldn’t even be on the same continent. Most of us wouldn’t even speak the same language as our ancestors. My ancestors would most likely understand English but wouldn’t speak it as their primary language. That may somewhat disguise the dialect difference but would cause all sorts of other problems. They may be actively fighting a war with England or they may be in a period of uneasy peace getting ready for the next war with England.
If you use all new it’s still about half Stamets, I don’t think there would be any meme communities here without Stamets posts.

I’d go with something safe for the gift like a non food gift or, because nearly all religious food restrictions are related to animal products, a vegan safe gift. Then I would ask them to a dinner/game night. When you invite them you can say that you were a little nervous about asking because you don’t know much about halal and set up a day where you can cook together. Gives you a chance to learn a little more about them and build the friendship.
You are correct. Namor was one of the original 3 main title Marvel Superheroes along with Captain America and the android Human Torch (different from the Fantastic 4 Human Torch) and first appeared in 1939. After X-Men became popular he was retconed into being a mutant and has sometimes been called the first mutant because he was created first despite the in universe timeline having him be younger than Xavier and Magneto. When Apocalypse was created as a functionally immortal mutant from Ancient Egypt he took on the in universe title of the world’s first mutant but the Submariner still occasionally gets the title out of universe.
Can we define a small town? The ones in his video have populations of around 150k which I would argue isn’t a small town. That’s a little over the combined population of seven counties were I live or about 165% of the combined population of all 11 “major cities” in the Eastern Kentucky Coalfields. I say anything much over 10k in population doesn’t qualify as a small town.
You may be thinking of charcoal. Coal is a mineral that is mined and is a fossil fuel.
