There’s also Palemoon with its goanna engine, which forked off Firefox when Mozilla retired XUL and has diverged since

Maybe try LibreWolf, it’s just Firefox with the Mozilla bullshit removed and privacy respecting defaults. It’s identical besides that
I would love to go real Linux on the smartphone, but it seems perpetually “not quite there yet,” at least from the reviews I’ve seen. Can it offer reliable calling and SMS?
Also wish PostmarketOS supported more devices, but I get it that that’s mostly on the device manufacturers not release critical specs and firmwares

Hello. Is GitHub sponsor a good way to donate? Do all funds go to Fedihosting? Other link shows currency in Euros but I am in USA and want to donate $
Thanks!
I’m a little confused about the mechanism of the speeders causing the disruption. Is it because when they cut in front of someone closely, it causes the driver to hit the brakes to make more room, thus triggering the chain reaction?

Big tech has gone full fascist for a bit now

The most romantic of holes.

I just want real S3 sleep back, Windows or Linux… “modern standby” blows

This also why I don’t do whole disk encryption; it makes recovery impossible

Seems like it would break quickly with use

It will be good for nerds who want to run models locally. Definitely not a huge maker tho

Maybe check out LibreWolf. It’s Firefox except with good defaults. Otherwise, it’s exactly the same

To go on a bit of a tangent here, Lemmy lets you hide scores on posts. I’ve had that set for a while and it’s nice to not get that bias before reacting to a post

It’s kinda a catch-22 situation: the vendors themselves need to implement these things on Linux, but they don’t because it’s a relatively small slice of the market. However, users won’t switch because these things aren’t available

He’s gonna make you gay
The IBM branded ones are cooler. Too bad they are ancient now. The Lenovos are still pretty good computers though
